◤ AM EXTENSION — ZTR ANALOG AM BEARER
About the ZTR AM Extension
Analog AM lacks a universal RDS PI-equivalent. Public RadioDNS only defines bearers for FM (via RDS PI+ECC), DAB, and DRM digital AM. Traditional analog AM (MW 530–1710 kHz) has no standardised bearer identity.
UndertowIQ defines a deterministic AM bearer using frequency + FCC Facility ID + GCC. This is a ZTR-private extension, not an official RadioDNS standard.
Bearer format: {freq_khz_4digit}.{facility_id}.{gcc}.am.zerotrustradio.org
e.g. KAZM 780 AM → 0780.64494.da0.am.zerotrustradio.org
A facility alias is also created: facility-{facility_id}.am.zerotrustradio.org
GCC for US AM defaults to da0 (country code D = North America, ECC = a0 = US).
This is a ZTR convention — adjust for other countries.
